Cerasorb® DENTAL products

Extensive testing on Cerasorb® leads to better bone grafting results

The newest product in the Cerasorb® family, Cerasorb® M DENTAL is an exciting development launched in the US in late 2005 to provide maximum porosity for better resorption in most dental procedures.

All of the Cerasorb® products  are made of  a new generation of pure-phase ß-tricalcium phosphate that offers optimal purity, porosity and performance.  They have been adapted for many dental, spine and orthopedic applications and are used by a growing number of leading dental professionals.

A key factor in Cerasorb®’s success is its unique ability to resorb simultaneously as new bone formation occurs. The time frame for complete resorption is 6-12 months for most patients – unlike older ceramic products that resorbed more slowly or in some cases, not at all.

In addition, new clinical evidence demonstrates that Cerasorb® DENTAL produces bone equivalent to autogenous bone, without an extra harvesting surgery or the risk of disease transmission from cadaveric bone  – a growing concern for patients. Also, Cerasorb® is very cost effective when compared to most biologically based bone grafting materials.

Distributed in over 30 countries, Cerasorb® has been used successfully in more than 350,000 patients. The subject of over 125 publications, Cerasorb® has been published in most of the leading scientific journals for a variety of clinical indications, including socket extractions, ridge augmentations, sinus lifts and other bone grafting needs. With its many benefits, Cerasorb® is now demonstrated in scores of US workshops,  led by respected clinicians in all parts of the country.

For professionals involved in bone grafting and implant techniques, Curasan also offers EpiGuide resorbable matrix barrier, Inion resorbable fixation and the REVOIS® easy to use all-in-one implant system.
